A native Rocklander, Dr. Alevy attended Spring Valley High School, completed undergraduate studies at New York University (NYU), and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University School of Dentistry in 1976.
Following a general dentistry residency in 1977, at the New Rochelle Hospital in New Rochelle, New York, Dr. Alevy began practicing dentistry in Congers. During his years of practice, Dr. Alevy’s priority has been to provide excellent, state-of-the-art prevention and treatment of dental disease in a sensitive, caring, and patient-centered environment.
Dr. Alevy has attended extensive post-doctoral education courses, with an emphasis on Family Dentistry, Cosmetic, Reconstructive Dentistry, and Implant Dentistry. He is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the Dental Society of New York, the Ninth District Dental Society, and the Rockland County Dental Society, for which he currently serves on the board.
Dr. Alevy supports many local philanthropic causes. His dedication has included serving on the board of directors for Meals on Wheels Programs and Services of Rockland, Inc. where he continues to be a loyal supporter. Dr. Alevy married his high school sweetheart, Karen, and together they have two married children and a growing family of grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, golfing, and reading. His varied interests include following the METS, JETS, KNICKS, and JETS, photography, tennis, gardening, and automobiles.
